Larry Bender

September 29, 1944 - November 21, 2015

Larry Edwin Bender, 71 of El Campo, passed away on November 21, 2015. He was born on September 29, 1944 in El Campo to the late Alvin Bender, Sr. and Viola Boehm Bender. He had served in the U.S. Army and was retired from Fesco on September 24, 2010, after being employed as a mechanic for 29 years. He fought a long courageous battle with cancer and was surrounded by his loving family at death.

He is survived by his wife Sarah Bender of El Campo, daughter Shelly Noles and husband Michael of Katy, grandsons Lance and Luke Noles of Katy, sister Diane Peck and husband Robert of Schulenburg, brothers Alvin Bender of El Campo and twin brother Ronnie Bender of Houston, niece Tracey Kramm of Woodville and her children Miles and Audrey, nephew Michael Peck of Boston, MA.

Visitation will begin on Tuesday at 2 pm at Triska Funeral Home with a Parish Vigil/Rosary at 7 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 25, 2015, at 2 pm at St. Philips Catholic Church with Rev. Michael Rother officiating. Burial with Military Honors under the auspices of American Legion Post 251 will follow at Holy Cross Memorial Park.

Pallbearers are Lance Noles, Luke Noles, Anthony Mican, Nathan O'Neal, Alan Beery and Allen Zieschang.
