Elizabeth A. Emerson, 65, passed away at the Ennis Regional Medical Center on Thursday, May 5, 2011.

Elizabeth was born in Beaumont, Texas, on June 14, 1945 to James Wade and Arlene (Anderson) Miles. She was raised in El Campo, Texas and graduated from El Campo High School in 1963. In 1976 she moved to Ennis from DeSoto, Texas. She served her country proudly in the United States Air Force.

She worked for Polyguard for twenty-seven years and was the Human Resources Manager for them. She was a member of the Baptist church.

She is survived by one son, Bobby Ray Benner of Ennis; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one brother Michael D. Miles of Nederland, Texas and one sister Lois Mowen of Springfield, Ohio.

Visitation will take place on Sunday, May 8, 2011 from 4 until 6 p.m. at the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis. A Celebration of her life will take place on Monday, May 9, 2011 at 2 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Eddie Ricks officiating. Interment will follow the service in Myrtle Cemetery of Ennis under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
