Luther Marvin Vernon

October 11, 1944   --   June 10, 1995

Luther Marvin Vernon was born on October 11, 1944, the son of Emanuel Lee Vernon and Edith Stancliff Vernon.  He graduated from El Campo High School in 1963.  Marvin enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1966 and served six years.  After three years out of the army, he enlisted again and served another five years.  He was awarded two Purple Hearts for wounds sustained in action during his service.

Marvin died on June 10, 1995, in Cecilia, Kentucky.
