As many of you know, I am Sue's cousin.  Our mothers were twin sisters, Mary and Josie.  We grew up right across the road from each other and probably slept in the crib together when we were babies because we were born about 7 weeks apart.  We played together all the time and fought like sisters sometimes, but we were also very good friends  I miss Sue every day.  Since her funeral notice, her dad, Willie Wilbeck and her brother, Gary Wilbeck have died.  These deaths have left a big hole in our hearts too!

Sue was a very loving and caring person.  She was a friend to many people and she liked to talk to everyone.   She loved to decorate the dinner table for the Christmas season and other events.  She also was into buying and selling antiques. Sue was also a very good cook.

One thing that she loved to do was shop!  If you went to Houston with her, then be prepared to get home around 10:00 p.m. because you were going to be in the stores until at least 9:00.

She attended UT her freshman year.  I went to visit her in her dorm room and she said that I had to listen to this singer on the radio.  It was Barbra Streisand.  That was the very first time that I had heard her sing.  Sue had a great time that year in Austin, but the next year she was at WCJC with me and again we rode to school together just as we had in high school and usually we were running late just as we had in high school!

Her daughter Jennifer has a son named William and lives in the Houston area.  Sue would have been a wonderful grandmother!  The last I heard her son Brandon was working in Mexico.

She fought very hard to beat cancer, but as we all know, sometimes it can't be beaten.

There will never be another Sue.  I hope you all remember her with fondness!
