Robert Kenneth Gardner

Robert Kenneth Gardner, age 77, of Port Lavaca, Texas passed away on Saturday, January 7, 2023. He was born in El Campo, Texas to the late Robert H. and Dorothy Dendy Gardner. He served in the Marine Corp during Vietnam. He then served in the U.S. Army until he was honorably discharged in 1981. Robert loved his time in the service. He received a Bachelor of Science Degree from East Texas State University in Commerce, Texas, which is now known as Texas A&M University–Commerce. He taught school in Louise, Texas. Robert loved the family he chose for himself and his sweet cat, Princess and he was loved much in return.

A memorial service to celebrate his life was held Saturday, January 21, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Trinity Shores of Port Lavaca, 201 Trinity Shores Drive, Port Lavaca, Texas 77979. Military honors were also given by the Calhoun County Veterans Council.
