Judith Ann Macura

March 4, 1945 ~~~ July 31, 2021

Judith Ann Macura was born March 4, 1945, to Edmund Macura and Evelyn Stock Worth Macura.  She passed away on July 31, 2021, after a lengthy illness.

She enjoyed sewing and needlework, but her passion was her work.

She was a legal secretary for Kinnear Earl Law Firm for a number of years.  After Mr. Earl’s death, she closed his office and continued to handle Mrs. Earl’s finances and supervised her medical care and 24/7 nursing care until Mrs. Earl’s death.  During that time, Judy also took the position of administrative assistant to the President of the First National Band and secretary to the Board of Directors of the First National Bank of El Campo.

She was a loving caregiver for her mother, and after her mother’s death, moved to Houston to become the manager of a large Coldwell Banker Real Estate office.

In her later life, she joined Goodwin & Goodwin Law Firm, and retired from that law firm in 2012.

She was an active member of Friendship Church in Richmond and especially enjoyed serving as usher.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents.  She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Joyce and Calvin Lamensky; nieces, Cathy Winsor, Sherri Collis and husband, Johnny; nephew, David Frels and wife, Janie; great nephews, Maxwell and Greyson Frels.

Judy was interred in Garden of Memories Cemetery in El Campo.
