Sue Ellen (Olson) Ritz went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ January 10, 2026. She was born in El Campo Texas on June 2, 1945. She graduated from El Campo High School in 1963.

Sue attended Southwest Texas State University and graduated with a Bachelor degree in Elementary Education and she served as a Christian school teacher for 45 years. She was cofounder of Presbyterian Pre-School in El Campo.

Sue enjoyed teaching, working in her garden and yard, but most of all she loved being with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be greatly missed and remembered. Sue was preceded in death by her parents Emil and Leona Olson and her grandson Ethan Ritz.

She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Bill Ritz Jr., two sons Trey and his wife Lori, Jeff and his wife Lisa, a daughter Elizabeth Ritz, a brother Lynard Olson and his wife Carol, and a sister Kathy Korenek and her husband Larry. She also has four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

 The celebration of life will be held at Bayside Community Church Port Lavaca Texas, January 17, 2026. Visitation will be from 10 a.m.to 12 p.m. with the service beginning at noon.
