Jack Harmon Poskey

January 3, 1945 ~~~ July 4, 2026

Jack Harmon Poskey of El Campo passed away at the age of 81. He was born January 3, 1945, in Alvin to Albert H. and Louise Metz Poskey. He was a production supervisor for Texaco, Inc. for 34 years.

He is survived by his wife, Faye Skuca Poskey of El Campo; son Lane Lauritsen and wife Trista of Austin; daughter Tisha Smith and husband Robbie of Beaumont; granddaughters Makaela Lauritsen of Rehoboth Beach, DE, Taylor Smith of West Palm Beach, FL, and Tessa Smith of Beaumont; sister-in-law Lolly Poskey of Nederland; and nephew Mike Poskey and wife Tina of Beaumont. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Charles Poskey.

Above all else, Jack was a devoted father and an adoring grandfather whose greatest joy in life was his three granddaughters. They were the light of his life. He was also a proud Texas Longhorn football fan, and many Saturdays were spent making the trip to Austin to cheer on his beloved Longhorns. Those football weekends often turned into mini road trips, with a round of golf along the way making the journey even more memorable. His love for family and unwavering loyalty will be remembered by all those who knew him.

Visitation will begin at 4:00 PM on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at Triska Funeral Home, with a Rosary being recited at 6:00 PM. The Funeral Mass will be at 2:00 PM Thursday, July 9, 2026, at St. Andrew Catholic Church in Hiljie, TX, with Reverend Wayne Flagg officiating. Interment will follow at St. Andrew Catholic Cemetery.
